Delphon GS-5D

This is a ultra rare danish produced Delphon GS-5D TT transcription turntable for broadcast/professional use build specifically to be used with the Ortofon 12" tonearm RM 309 and the other 12" tonearms from Ortofon. This for used at Danish Broadcast. It features  the 4 different speeds  16-33-45-78 rpm and adjustment of speed with a very subtle strobe mechanism seen at the right of the platter on front, it only lights up when you press the little black button. The three knobs on the right is 1: start and stop of platter, 2: adjustment of speed and 3: cueing of arm/cartridge. The later is rather smart with a locking mechanism of the arm when not in use. It is a 220 volt 50Hz. This turntable is closer to a Garrard 301 or 401 than a Thorens TD 124. This is a true rarity & a great turntable (as Thorens TD124 or more like a Garrard 301 actually) and probably the only turntable made specifically for this legendary tonearm!
