Goodmans MaxAmp 30This amp is the first offering by Goodmans in the HiFi market. Further it is claimed to be the first amp using solid state technology, whilst utilising silicon transistors & diodes throughout. Three outputs (Tuner, Aux, Phono) plus Tape play/record circuit. Separate rotary controls for Bass / Treble / Balance / Volume. Hi filter / Lo filter, Mono / Stereo.
Power output per channel 15 watts r.m.s. into an 8 ohm load 10 watts r.m.s. into a 4 or 15 ohm load Distortion: Less than 0.3% at 15 watts per channel into 8 ohms at 1,000 Hz Frequency Response: 20 Hz to 20 KHz±1/2 dB Input Sensitivities For 15 watts at 1,000 Hz into an 8 ohm load Phono (with R.I.A.A. characteristic) (a) 3.5mV, input impedance 47,000 ohms (b) 50mV, input impedance 100,000 ohms Tuner (flat characteristic) 100 mV, input impedance 100,000 ohms Tape (flat characteristic) 140 mV, input impedance 50,000 ohms Aux. (flat characteristic) 3 mV, input impedance 50,000 ohms Hum and Noise: At least 55 dB below full output on all inputs and at least 80 dB below full output with volume control at minimum setting. Crosstalk: With input selector in any position, and the unused channel open circuit better than - 40 dB with reference to 10 watts into 8 ohms on the active channel Outputs: Loudspeakers: 4-8-15 ohms |
